I’m running simrad 7s on 25 foot bay boat. I’m thinking about Lowrance 9 or 12 live or TI elite 2. Can’t afford the live transducer yet but with the active imaging 3 in 1 transducer. I’m running the total scan transducer now and have never been happy with it. How much better would the upgrade be for those in the know.

The Active Imaging side scan is like a wow factor with your side-scan view. With the 3-1 AI, you will want to run at 800kHz as you should be running 455 on the Total Scan. Only time I switch to 455 is in deep water (over 28-ft). You will love the side scan view on the Active Imaging ducer with LIVE, Elite Ti2 or Carbon.

Thanks Rob. I was just scared as to whether in a year it might be obsolete since my go 7 and evo 2 is not compatible with the active imaging transducer. When will the price on the live scope transducer come down from a thousand bucks.
