Hello everyone. I'm glad I found this forum because I have never had luck finding a good spot near Plano, tx. I found a private lake with some people saying it has good spots but the park doesn't open till 8am. How bad is it to fish this late? Thanks!

First welcome

It is always better to fish early and late in the summer, but you should still have at least an hour of good morning fishing. Fish will usually move to deeper water as the day progresses, so try to find areas with deep water. You always have the chance at catching a fish any time of the day.

Just remember, on this blog the more people that tell you there aren't any fish in that lake means there are plenty of fish. Just keep on trying.

welcome Google Maps is your friend. You will find lots of places to fish in several lakes. Always ask permission and be prepared to do something for the owner in order to get into the pond.
