Got out to Aquilla for about 4 hours yesterday. Wind was pretty light when I launched. Stopped at some timber by the ramp. Big mistake. Should have gone straight to the brush. That’s where they are still stacked up. By the time I decided to go the wind was really picking up. Kept 15 before I decided to call it quits. The wind was howling by then. Water temp was right at 80, although I’m not sure which graph is correct. The dash Lowrance said 77. Color didn’t matter, nor did jigs weight. Anywhere from 10-20’ deep. All up and down the brush. Some piles wanted it moving horizontally other would nail it on vertical fall. Smallest kept fish was a little over 11”. I only kept it because he floated up after being released. The rest were 12” or better.

Dairy Hill. Old School is closer by boat to the places I fish most, but DH is closer for me by truck.

Was there last week and had a great time. Caught close to 75. Did not keep any but just had fun catching. Would use one color until the quit biting, then change to another and would catch more. Was on trees the entire time.

been tearing them up on standing timber on edge of creek channels.

But rather skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting "holy carp what a ride!"
