Who: Responsible adults with a fishing license driving/fishing/etc at their own risk
What: Free fun fishing event with lures provided, food, non ETOH beverages, prizes
When: Saturday June 13th. I'll be there handing out the free lures, measuring boards if you don't have one (please bring one if you do have one) at 0630.
Lines in at 0700. Lines out at noon. All beef hot dogs will be ready at noon
Where: Waterloo Park, Denison TX
Why: Everybody likes fishing
How: Drive there with a fishing rod or two, feel free to bring your own tackle. If you want to be eligible for prizes, you must fish and catch the fish with the provided lures. Sporting manner with hook and line. No live bait, cut bait, bait balls, or nets.

There have been some very generous offers for prizes. Feel free to be generous also with any donations for prizes.

Prizes so far include the following:

Mark Perry has offered a custom hand poured 7 inch swim bait to each of the four category winners listed below
Beautiful brand new rotomolded 26QT cooler still in box

There are several lakes in the area if Waterloo is too crowded.
Fishing at the other community lakes in the area is permitted (see map below), but you must check in at Waterloo 0630. Lines in at 0700 and out at noon, but show up when you can. I'll be checking in people until 0900, then I'll have to start the BBQ prep.
Randell Lake, Denison Golf and Country Club lake, any other private bodies of water, the Red River and Texoma are off limits for prize eligibility
You must fish from the bank (no tubes, floats, inflatables, kayaks, or boats) to be eligible for prizes

Water temp 88 at 11am. 90 when leaving

Bluegill beds and bluegill shallow
Landed four bass and broke one off at the kayak
one little guy wriggled off board into water
Caught 2 blue gill also

Drop shot with swipe worm tail end cut in half and ned rig swipe worm 3/4 senko and half swipe worm worked today
7-10fow wood with shade
I’d recommend 10lb test and under

Looking at the stocking history there’s some good fish in there, but only caught smaller bass and bluegill today
