Does anyone use a trailer valet to fit a tandem axle trailer in a size standard garage? I know it will fit diagonally, but the driveway will limit my ability to back it in were I need it and it will also be difficult to swing the tongue in for the correct diagonal position. Any input would be great.

I have one that I have had for about 10 years and it's a godsend. I had an 18 foot boat at first and just took time to figure out the correct way for it to sit and space. Really worked out well and now I have a 20 ft and it works well just a little harder to turn , but it works out and been happy with the jack and corporation . They stand behind there jacks . Yes I Will buy another when the time comes.

I had a similar issue. Went from an 18’ boat to over 20’. Between the angle of drive and garage, grade of the driveway and fence limiting Space, I had to put a receiver on the front of my truck. I tried trailer dollys but the driveway grade was too steep. Once I get back from the lake, I back into the drive, unhitch, flip the truck around and drive the boat it.

The trailer valet is one of the best purchases i've made. I put a box of bright yellow tape where my back tires and the trailer valet need to be to close the door. It saves so much time (and drywall). I stop about 8-10 ft out and do the rest with the trailer valet. Takes no time once you do it a few times.

Also you can park a few feet away and use the trailer valet to bring the trailer to the truck.

Do you have a tandem axle or single axle? I heard that tandem axle is harder to turn.

I used one in my old house but i had to use trailer jacks too on 2 of the wheels on a 4 wheel trailer. No way I could get it in without it.

I used one for my Bass Tracker then tried to use it for my tandem axle Champ. It worked but it was very difficult getting up the slight slope of the garage. I finally put a hitch on my mower and it is easy! I just had a hard time because of the tight turn into my garage and then the slope. I sold the trailer valet now that I use my mower.

I bought the trailer valet 5x with the hand crank and it was the best $500 i have ever spent. I have a bad back and a tandem axle trailer. I couldn't maneuver it anymore without risking injury. The trick is to put cardboard under the wheels and the trailer will pivot with ease. I just wish i would have bought one of these along time ago.

Not really, you flatten 2 cardboard boxes and lay them where your wheels stop, back the trailer onto the cardboard, then use the trailer valet to turn boat at an angle into the garage. The rubber from the tires doesn't stick like when you are trying to turn on concrete. It very easy and it allow me to slide my trailer another foot forward to get more room to walk around the back of my boat to access the rest of the garage.
