June 3: After a tip from Chris Richardson I fished Spillway Hump looking for hybrids. The hump was loaded with white bass, and I caught a bunch but didn't keep count. I did catch 4 legal hybrids and had another pull off. The largest was a very fat 24 inch fish, and a second one was 22 inches. I stopped by Iron Wall Hump on the way home to see if hybrids were there on same pattern (20 to 23 fow near drop-off to deeper water). Caught 3 more legal hybrids there, plus it too was loaded with white bass. I caught them by retrieving a #4 Mepps very fast up from the bottom.

June 5: I decided to check south-end structures for the hybrid pattern I found on June 3. Checked 60 Acre Hump, Swing-set Hump, East Hump, Greenhouse Ridge, East Dam Hump, Dam Hump West of Pole and Campbell's Hump but saw no hybrids (using side-scan to see them). Finally, on Dam Ridge I thought I saw a few and stopped and fished . Ended up with 4 legal hybrids and about 40 white bass.

June 8: An elderly deacon from church said he would like some fish, so I went out to catch a limit of white bass. I headed out at 7:40 AM and went straight to a boat show on Crappie Island flats. Snaggin Steve, Fastguy and Bill ? were there among the group of anglers. I caught 5 white bass while talking with Steve. They had been catching fish on the bottom - no surface action. I got in on the very end of it. When I left to check out other spots, only Steve, one other boat and I were still there. I next checked the A-Frame and Sam's Hump but no fish. Then found a good bunch at the west end of Long Ridge in 22 to 26 fow. I stayed there catching a fish almost every cast til I had a limit of white bass, a channel cat and 4 hybrids the biggest of which was 22 inches. Caught 16 more whites trying to get that 5th hybrid. At 10 AM I headed home to clean the fish. Here is pic of catch:

DEWAYNE: Is Livingston clear enough now to fish the 190 road bed area?

Todd: I am now getting some confidence in targeting hybrids based on their side-scan images. When white bass are so easy to find as they are now, this gives me more of a challenge, and I need to develop the skill.
