Banker and I have seen bunches of Rio Grande Cichlids this year, but have only caught a few smaller ones. They seem to be biting later this year for some reason. We're going out in the morning to check em out. Fishing has been real curious for us so far. First it was Redbreast galore, then Redears, and today it seems the bigger Bluegills are biting better then the Redears. Love that fishing. pollo

Well if you guys aren’t catching them, they must not be biting...or they are just afraid when you are around. bolt

I have caught some nice Rios this year. The bite was good early to mid spring. Rios are in full spawn/nesting mode and getting them to bite during this time of year is next to impossible. Give them another two to three weeks and the Rio bite will be totally AWESOME! hooked

Dad blame, my bad. I forgot I had been under doctor ordered lock down Mar and April, so I wasn't aware of the masters conquests. Chuck is right, Rio's are hard to come by when they have loving on their minds. hammer
