So I sent my Mercury Revolution 4 prop out to get repaired. Now I'm noticing I lost the bow lift this prop used to have. This prop has been sent out twice in it's life. I don't really know how a prop shop fixes props. Is this prop garbage now? Have you ever heard of something like this?

The prop is fine it just needs to be tweaked a little. The cup and pitch effects bow lift. I had my prop worked over one time and I lost all bow lift no matter how much I trimmed up. I took it back to the guy and he fixed it. Iā€™m not a prop guy so Iā€™m not sure what he did, but I told him what changed and he fixed it. I keep two props now, so Iā€™m not down when I have an issue. I bought a spare from a prop repair shop. Couple hundred dollars insurance.

There are a very few really good prop guys, there's a whole herd of anvil monkeys.

Josh at Steve's on Fork is a good one for bass boat props, Jack Foreman in Victoria is a flats prop master, you have to be careful who you send your wheel to, that's 90% of your boats performance, if it's not right, nothing else is either.

Pat is 100% correct.

there are some shops that just do not know how to put the cupping back in a blade, and grinding the leading edges
flat is a sign of laziness on the prop shops part.
