Anyone been up there lately. Going week after next. Wondering if it is a madhouse like every other lake right now.

Have fun. It will be packed. There is always a place to get away from the crowd. The lake was high last week and the marina was the only ramp open up by the dam. Not sure about the level now.

I have an rv but always check the local cabins to see what all is booked. Most of all the cabins I looked at are booked thru june. Can believe how crazy it has been on the water.

Unless Covid has made it more packed out, there is generally a lot more elbow room on BB at say 11am, than any DFW area lake if you stay away from July 4th and Memorial Day. The farther north you go, the less pleasure boaters there are and the fish are easier to catch up north this time of year anyway. Go smaller up there, especially on sunny days. Flukes on split shot rigs on 12lb, 1.0 cranks early, drop shot, smaller shakey heads, neds, clear smaller walking baits for up on top, 3/8oz C-rig with 5ft leader with a ned rig bait. If its cloudy/rainy, the fish pull up on top of the bank ledges and its game on.

Not sure about how crowded the lake is right now but the cabins and restaurants are slammed, i figure the lake is the same. i would go really early for fishing or fish at night.

Thanks for the info y’all. I do like that idea of night fishing! Shallow with a hildebrandt maybe? Otherwise I’ll go north and work the dropshot and shaky head game. Should be fun.
