My son and his buddy's rented a house on the lake for the weekend and a friend and I volunteered to take them fishing .
Thursday I went up to locate some fish I did pretty good on and off as the fish were roaming a large hump till I moved to a smaller hump and the action was good till I got tired .
Friday afternoon part of the group showed early enough for an afternoon trip , I got a tip that the fishing was good on another spot closer to the house . We loaded up and headed out and as soon as I slowed down to check an old weigh point the screen lit up like Christmas .
The young men and I had a blast and put about forty keepers in the boat and released a bunch more before heading in .
Saturday morning with two boats of hung over young men we headed to the same area and took about 5 minutes to find a good school .
Fish were steady hitting the cooler and the clicker adding up after a couple hours of great fishing releasing a lot of border line keepers we headed in for Brisket sandwiches with about 150 fish between two the boats .
After a full belly while the young'uns rested my friend and I headed out to check another spot and it was loaded also and we played catch and release for a while .
Saturday afternoon after they rested up and they were ready for round three , We headed to the morning spot and got started with a catch and release trip and fishing was on fire everyone was hooking up with singles and doubles .
They slept in Sunday morning and I went out and caught and released 30-40 pretty quick and went back in to clean up .
It was great time hanging out with these young men no one got out of hand .
Thanks to Eric Schull for supplying a second boat, Johnny Douglas of Ducktracker Slabs for making a great product and Harl Sims for letting us clean fish on his dock .
