Never have heard a positive review either.

They look cool. That’s the only positive. They add weight to the prop shaft, in turn, this quells vibration. Only thing about that it, the vibration that is quelled, still exists and is compounded on the motor seals. It’s makes a small issue an expensive issue eventually. The vibration and noise is usually caused by an improperly balanced prop. Balancing a prop is an easy fix.

I didn't buy it for the intended purpose. I like the fact I can change a TM prop so easily without tools on the water. That was my motivation to buy one. I am convinced that tve TM props in the last 3-5 years break a lot easier than they used to.

Plus they look good. Have had them on my last couple boats. Probably will keep using them.

I won one as a door prize. It went with the old boat when I sold it . I too like the ease of changing the prop is why I put one on the boat I have now .

Like the others have mentioned I didn't really notice "less" vibration with it. But it did allow me to quickly check for line or grass that had wrapped around the inside part. I'm trying the Katana prop right now and it doesn't work with the "TH Marine nut" so it's back to the old style for now.

I’ll just keep a new prop, pin, nut, cheap flat blade screwdriver and a Barbour freight 9/16” box wrench in a bag.

Shear a pin on a prop shaft and figure out how to get the prop off without access to the prop shaft slot...then get back to me. Lol.

The next one I shear will be the first one I shear. Been using the TH prop nut for 4- 5 years now. I'll take my chances.

I had one on my old Motorguide motor. Stopped vibration and humming I got at certain medium/low speeds. Sold it with the motor when I upgraded to an Ultrex.

People in the know drill a hole in the center of the TH prop nut large enough for a screwdriver to be inserted, then plug it with silicone. If they ever need to remove the nut due to a sheared pin, they push the plug out with the screwdriver to get access to the end of the motor shaft.

How are you liking the Katana prop? I just ordered one a few days ago myself.

I really like it! Def seems to help out with battery life and is quite quieter than my other prop. I've fished 2 trips(not full days but at least 4-5 hrs each) in a row now several times without charging it between trips and she still seems good to go! One minor issue is it doesn't like the super stringy grass much. But then again neither did my other props. A little loud in lily pad stems but heck those things are going to be a pita either way. I so far think it's $$ well spent!
