Anyone catching hybrids lately at Cooper. Heading there this evening. Haven't been there in years.

Curious if you ended up going? I am considering going but it is a long drive for me and would like to know if hybrids and or sandies are downing well.

I was there Thursday last week and caught nine sandies, and they were scattered. No hybrids. Water a bit murkey, no more than a foot and half of visibility.

Thanks RogerC

Think that I will let it heat up some more before I make the drive.

I have had several trips out there the past couple of weeks. You can catch sandies till you are sick of them. Big healthy fish this year. I have yet to catch a hybrid out there this year.

Medic have you run into any largemouth while fishing for the sandies? That lake had such promise when it first opened and we use to clobber the largemouth. I haven't been on Cooper in probably 15 years though. Nice report!

I have never caught a bass while hybrid/sandbass fishing out there. I used to bass fish it after it opened and it was awesome. There is a small group of locals that still bass fish it. They are pretty tight lipped, but they continue to go. I hear theres lots of grass and pads on the west end.

Go to the Navionics Webapp which is free. Move the map around until you get Cooper Lake in the middle of the screen. Zoom in until you can see all of the lake contour features. The humps will be the shallow areas near the deep water. Happy searching.
