Was on Palestine again this time with Greg and Steve! Greg took advantage of my full day for a half day special on Pines this winter and for one reason or another we kept having to reschedule and here we are in June! They’re no strangers to snatching white perch out of Toledo Bend with Livescope but they were hoping to pick up some useful info along the way and I think they did! We slung fish in the boat all morning but they looked more like brushpile fish! Having all day we took our time and threw back several keepers along the way. Took a boat ride to cool off and got into some better fish when number 50 rolled over on the clicker. Fished a little more after that tossing em back before we headed to clean fish and get them back across the Sabine River to the piney woods of N Louisiana. Thanks again for fishing with me! Guys I have a couple weekdays left this month and June 13th for some reason so if your looking to chase some slabs give me a shout!

Thanks for putting up with us today Todd, we had a blast and definitely came away with more knowledge using Livescope. Hate it took so long to get it put together. Will definitely be back. Folks, if your looking for the real deal give ole Slewfoot a holler, he knows his stuff and will put you on some slabs! Nothing but good things to say! We will definitely get together this fall at the Pines. Thanks for the great trip!

All but a couple on timber. 18-28’ deep 12-16’ down mainly. 1/8oz hand ties on limits tackle heads in grey and chart and white pitching out to them. Took the split shot kicker weights off today. Seemed to produce more aggressive bites with the slow fall. Did a little dock shooting just for fun but they were limited out by then so those fish lived to see another day!

Fishing is great. If you want to get in on some of the action give me a holler. As of this post I have June 10 and can do 2 weekdays the last week of the month and also have that weekend open the 27-28. Tournaments crank back up the end of the month so I will be limited on availability with trips to Quachita River. Grenada and Table Rock in the future as well as CATs local schedule. If you want to become a better crappie angler give CAT a shot. I’ve chased crappie for 20 years but the last 6 years we’ve fished tournaments we’ve learned tenfold what we did on our own.
