Where would the easiest launch point be to get access to the River in a kayak? Are there any potential launching areas in the River itself?

Somebody will need to confirm this but there is a little dirt that starts at Oak Road and Hwy 78 and parallels 78 to the bridge over the Trinity just below the Lavon dam. Can’t get much further up river than that. It would be a long paddle from the nearest ramp on Ray Hubbard. [Linked Image]

The next bridge south is just about impossible to pass under unless Lavon has recently released a lot of water. Obviously wouldn’t mess with any of it with Lavon gates open.
You could theoretically launch from that road in the pic, but you wouldn’t get very far south before reaching an impassable area.

Lots of guys unload at 78 and go down, if you find a log jam post here and I will go cut it out for you.

I haven't been up in a while but in the past I could get my 19 foot boat to 78

Pretty sure “the next bridge south” of the 78 bridge is the 66 bridge over the lake. If they only make it that far they’ve done pretty good! laugh
