Fished with Chris (doctorxring) yesterday from daybreak until 6 pm. We ended up with our personal best all time record for numbers with 313 fish. (2 catfish / 7 bass / 304 sunfish) I think we are starting to get the hang of this sunfish thing. Water temp was high 80s & lake level was full pool. Winds were light with overcast skies in the am & partly cloudy in the pm. Chris fished with the BOC (worms) almost exclusively while I only used the Gulp Alive minnows. Chris caught the 2 biggest fish of the day with each going 10 inches & weighing just below a pound each. We had many fish between 9 & 10 inches & too many doubles to keep track of. Tried 6 different areas & they were biting in all spots. Did not get around to trying any reed beds, but am sure they were there as well. The last picture was the last fish of the day...# 313. Side Note: How many jars of Gulp Minnows did you guys use?

Gitter...I was the only one that used the Gulps, & I used just under 2 & 1/2 jars. 3 colors...Chartreuse Shad, Watermelon Pearl & Emerald Shiner.

Wow, 313 slabs. I loose count after 10 and was wondering how in the world would you keep count. Now I know. A golf stroke counter. What a brilliant idea. Off to Walmart to price them out.

Awesome day on the water.....

It was just an amazing day on the water. The afternoon bite was incredibly strong. Ravenous !

Steve kept "total count" and I kept count of the fish I caught. Final tallies -- Steve 188 and I had 125.
This is pretty much the typical spread when we go. Steve has the number on these cagey perch !
I used Gulp Minnow for a little while yesterday but I easily fall back to my old ways.

I put over a 100 in the boat today fishing several of Vogeys secret spots I caught a dozen or so bass as well. Good day for sure.
