I have a auto repair shop in Old Town Lewisville, seems riots are getting pretty close to us. Last night protestors were blocking the I35E and Main St. intersection, marching from Lewisville High School to the City Hall, which is literally 20 yards from my front door, I am caddy corner to City Hall. I am concerned for the well being of my employees and customers, we normally close at 6, but I think we may possibly close early today, honestly not sure what to do. I've had customers calling in this morning wondering even if we are open due to recent events. My business like others has been severely affected last couple months as we have not shut down, but this kind of thing is scary, all we can do is pray and hope nothing bad happens to anyone.

I need an oil change and and inspection on my Kia.

What's the name of your shop? I can drop by and run security while you work on the car if you guys can handle that. I know some shops don't do inspections.

Are they rioters or protesters? Not being funny but there truly is a difference. There have been some peaceful protesting in some areas.

there was no property damage or violence. The crowd got too large and blocked the road. The cops popped some smoke and everybody got back out of the road and that was it.

there was not thieving or beating or anything like that happening. And the Lewisville Police are very good, they were all over it.

Seems "mostly" protesting from what I gathered with some ruckus thrown into the mix, I'm just afraid of the mob mentality.

We had a peaceful protest here in Nac yesterday. They were gathered at the entrance to SFA which is across the street from a McDonalds, Raisin’ Cains, and Taco Bueno. They know what’s important when it come to protesting.

I guess either way if they are in front of your place I doubt many customers will stop by.

Stay open if they have been peaceful , they are there to be heard not destroy things

if they have antifa trash among them hopefully they will ferret them out themselves.

set up a refreshment stand. Free water and snacks. I do suggest styrofoam cups.
