Good stuff, been messing with my nephews boat (same model) and swapped him to a 24P tempest and lowered motor a little. He is now pushing 5700 RPM's and low 60's. The help on this forum is amazing!!!

Guys, an unmentioned piece of this is those early Opti engines were choked on exhaust and thus they were short on hole shot. They resolved this in the early 2000’s and eventually carried it into the larger ponies. Not to mention you were way over propped to start with.
