Going to get a pair of Costa Del Mar's. I appreciate that some of you prefer other manufacturers and I have some others, but this is for Costa owners only please. I hear the Green Mirror lenses are the best overall for fishing. What are your preferences? I like a bigger frame so which do you recommend? Glass or plastic lenses? Also, who has the best prices you have found? Thanks for your input! If you have a melon head try the Costa "Permit", and another vote for Green Mirror 580 glass.

Fantail 580G for me. Worn them for years driving and fishing. I have a big head and fantails fit me great.
See you on the lake and have a great day!

Just got a pair at BPS 20% off, and they are non prescription with a bifocal, so I don't have to put cheaters on anymore to tie knots.

Green 580p are the best I bought green and blue and bronze to try them out.
I also have green 580g Glass and they are heavy and make my nose hurt after a while those are in my boat to loan out.. The glass and plastic dont seem any different to me in quality or vision.
I get mine on ebay, FANTAIL frames are what I use I think its one of the bigger coverage ones unless they have came out with new since I went to bps and tried them all, for your big head youll likely have to heat them in the middle w a hair dryer and open them up a little. Before I did that mine gave me a bit of a headache and I dont have a big head.

The plastic ones are lighter but much more scratch prone. If you are a responsible adult and properly store them when not in use you'll probably be okay. I am not, so I stick to glass. I use copper lenses with green mirror for everyday use. In low light I use silver sunrise (sunrise/sunset/cloudy). I believe my frames are blackfin.

Costa has their blue lenses all 30% off through Wednesday I believe and free expedited shipping. Everything else is 20% off. Are the blue lenses good enough for the extra 10%? Other than some really specific frames on Sierra or backcountry I can’t seem to find a better deal right now. Costa Sale

Blackfins 580g in green mirror. Fit good on a “water head”.

I have the Jose green mirror 580G's and love them. A little smaller than the Permits and fit my face better.

I have a pair Diego’s . My first pair of Costa’s They are 580g I like them until I start running when I get over 55-60 they want to come off. Got to get a different pair just for that reason. Thinking fantails, really don’t want to go back to Oakley’s but I got to have a pair of glasses that stay on my face .

Just ordered a pair of fantail 580G green from Costa website. 20% off. Have a pair of 580p blue and can't hardly see through them for the scratches. They have been so very easy to scratch. Don't think I'm overly abusive to them, but disappointed in how soft the coating is on the poly lens. Blue is very dark so I'm trying the green this time.

Blue is gonna give you a grey type lens while green is a type of amber.
