We had an accident on Lake Granbury which sank about and banged up a lot of people. Hit a tree stump under the surface and threw multiple people out of the boat. Lots of stumps in this lake. You really need to watch the channel markers and abide by them.

Saw that yesterday. Big wakeboard boat with many people on board. Always amazed at where skiers are often playing. As said: good channel marking system from dam to the river. Plenty of open areas to play. Plenty of places NOT safe for playing also.

Not that it makes any difference, it was a Tahoe runabout with a ski tower. Could've been very bad though. That boat turned over and was almost completely under in just a matter of minutes. I, like you, just picked it up off of FB. One person thrown completely out and the rest to the front of the boat. I just thought I'd update since there are so many nasty comments about wake boats on this forum. We have a Ranger and a Mastercraft so I'm not as angry about them as many people here. I go up into a cove and they rarely bother us. I guess BPS doesn't spend as much on flotation foam as others.

I see you said "we". Was it your boat? Were you in it? Maybe it should have been "There was an accident on Lake Granbury...."?

That is a strange way to take a shot at BPS on the behalf of someone else's mishap, especially one of "your" own. rolleyes

My bad calling a Tahoe a Wakeboard boat. I guess Iā€™m guilty of profiling! laugh Actually every boat regardless of size that was a tower IS a wakeboard boat!

Most of the time there are more interested in the radio talking etc... than paying attention, to where they are going ,no common Courtesy, don't have clue.

Flip any boat completely over amd see what happens. They arent designed to be flipped and float. My buddy passed a bow floating offshore once. The air bubble in the front compartment was keeping it from sinking. That was a 40 ft Boston Whaler

When I am not fishing I am thinking about fishing. And mostly what I should have done differently my last trip!

Wake boats consistently put wakes over the front of my Tracker 175 at PK. It's gotten so bad I seldom go out on the main lake since the lockdown as weekdays are like a weekend now and weekends are like the 4th of July. Hate to see an accident but my experience is these Wake Boats are most often being operated by folks who do not know the lake, adhere to boating regulations or have much consideration for other boaters.

I hope everyone is OK. Bet that boat recovery is going to cost a mint.

John 21:3 Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee.
