Got to buy a State park pass or buy a day pass. Can't pay at Ramp because of covid 19. Would have been 7 per person , young kids free i think.

On the TPWD site, pond creek isn’t listed as a state park to buy a day pass at.

Isle du Bois sells passes. Call first because I don’t know if they changed that with COVID.

I did not realize a national park pass covers state parks. That seems odd with fed and state being different entities. Did Texas declare that national park passes cover admission to state parks? If so, can anyone point out where the state says this? (website, for instance). Same for the Corps of Engineers. I'll look for it. Retirees and qualified disabled persons can get free lifetime national park passes, so this would be good if true.

National Parks pass doesn’t cover Texas State Parks...
You have to go to the state park website and purchase a day pass. None of the satellite ramps are listed so you just have to buy one for Johnson, Greenbelt, or IDB and put it on your dash. That works to show you paid your money. I don’t think they are even checking right now, all the ramps are over flowing and I’d venture to say less than 50% of the vehicles I walk by after parking don’t have a park pass or day pass anywhere on the dash.
