sooooo Confused! Decided to get out of the house on yesterday and visit one of my favorite haunts/areas on RC reservoir.Saw a lot of boat trailers in this parking lot which in my mind meant only one thing. BOY you LATE! Headed to my favorite spot to fish in approx 20 fow in the shade only to find there were a couple boats already sitting there.So I decided to venture out a little farther & ended up in 26 fow which put me right at the edge of one of the creeks the lake is named. I was rewarded ! I didn`t get a limit but I caught several 14" Crappie(white) females that were full of eggs with fat bellies. I caught them all 12-14 feet down in 26 fow using using Crappie magnet jigs on a tandem rig. The confusing part for me is my last trip on the other arm of the lake all the white crappie females caught were flatter than a pancake. Which had me thinking the spawn had came & went. I only ended up with only 12 keepers yesterday but several were very VERY NICE! Go figure

Solid post Horace. I'm glad you got them figured out. This year been tough for me to find any pattern.

We fished a couple hours Friday afternoon and 5-6 hours yesterday there and cleaned 73 pitiful crappie! Caught a couple hundred each day I bet. Stayed in the east arm Friday and went way back in the timber on the W arm sat and it sure wasn’t worth the drive back there! Media bass was there yesterday! That place was a circus! We cooked burgers down by the bathrooms Friday and had a fish fry Sat. 30 people or so. Fun weekend but I’m glad to be back in E Tx! 1/8oz hand ties on Limits tackle heads grey and chart and white and black and chart were best for us. Most fish were 12-16’ down
