After a solid week of fishing 3 area lakes I can honestly say I'm wore out! My hats off to the guides that do this for a living ! I totaled 316 crappie in 6 days with a ton of throw backs mostly on Sandlin a lot of little fish here .I'll start with Lake Bob Sandlin i Stayed there 4 days at the lake lot, winds and storms were horriable. During cloud cover and rough water Slab Bandits in black shad and slick jim in 1000 series were the ticket. BBBBUT!!!! when the sun come out Texas Toast was king friday morning it took just a tad over 1 hour to put 25 blacks in the well between 1.25 and 2 lbs depth ran from 7 to 18 foot. A trip earlier in the week to Palestine took just under 3 hours for 25 keepers with 42 total the larger profile Slab commander in Texas Toast produced larger slabs mostly whites with 1/2 dozen blacks 10-16 foot. Lake Fork was tough last Wensday we managed a limit fish were hard in the brush and the wind was relentless, sour grape and dirty chicken did the bulk of the work here. Both of my thumbs are raw my hands are cut to pieces and my arms are weak , but it was worth it plus I got 4 gallons of fillets ! I can't wait till next year !

I m gonna have to lay off acouple days of eatin them also but its better then brisket prices think about it you can go fishing several days for the price of 1 brisket ? I mean what's up ? RIGHT !

I can definitely feel it on bask too back days of fishing.... Crazy thing is I see myself guiding soon but it won't be several trips a week for sure..... I'll leave that to those young guys....LOL
