Never gave me any problems. That thing was bullet proof. I ran a lot of 6 hp Johnsons and owned one. The best small outboard ever built. Grandfather had a 35 hp Lark on his wooden Chriscraft.

To stop production is one thing..
To then limit your boat production to just mercury motors is plain stupid..

To stop production is one thing..
To then limit your boat production to just mercury motors is plain stupid.. Yeah because buying the transoms to put etecs on worked out so well.

How far off would I be if I said their motors and technology now are just as good if not better than the others?
But the other guys were better at sales.
