My brother had the Fortunate time to interview him back in 1986 for a class paper, Iโve meet and greeted him several times in the past 35 years since he was in a our district. A very humble man that was a proud American and leader. RIP sir and thank you for your sacrifice and service!

You guys just don't know. I had an encounter with him at DFW Airport in 2002 and he was a complete jerk. He even got a dressing down from the U.S. Transportation Secretary for his actions towards me.

Why do this in a post honoring the man? Start a post of your own and post a link as Iโm sure your encounter was at least as bad as spending 7 years as a guest of the ever peachy NVA.

He helped me out a few years ago with an issue dealing with USCIS, His office did a great job and not only being a great congressman his personal life was a true American hero
