I spend a little money on tackle, mostly stuff i do not need but that that's another topic grin

Can we have this thread and everyone add tackle shops around Texas that you can either walk into and shop or order online? If I can spend my money within the borders of the state I live or local to my area, I would much rather do that personally. I love TW and a few others, but I do not support the ways of some of the states that they are located in and would rather see money going to local or in state retailers.

I will start off with

Fishin World - Dallas
Southwest - Dallas

Please add independently owned tackle shops

Thanks!

Anyone ever order from tackle addict online? I've been to their store, but have never ordered from their website. Wonder if they get orders out in a timely manner?

Well, they have what caught the state record. smile

Good sand bass and crappie lure selection some of which work great for LMB
Some, but not many LMB lures.

+1 for Fishin World. Nice little shop with a lot of baits that you won't find at any big box stores.

Solid Pawn in Longview, Texas. Half the store is dedicated to bass fishing. Good selection, fair pricing and helpful owners.

I just got back from there. I was really looking forward to stocking up on plastics.

As my son and I walked in, some large guy sitting in a folding chair in the corner started casually using extremely obscene language. It was way beyond acceptable.

Wow. Just wow.

Santone Lures, Talon Lures. 2 of the best jig companies in existence. Both make high quality products that work effectively. Both are HQ'd in Texas and make and assemble products in house.

I have known Joe Flowers for 25 plus years, I have brought the event to his attention and he is very concerned and took it upon himself to review the Video and the Audio in the shop on the given day. There is some discrepancy as to what actually happened but none the less, I thought it be fair that he knows what's going on in his place of business when not there.
In addition, I have found the selections of products, especially soft plastics and a variety of Hard Baits to be quite adequate, especially ZOOM, which is priced lower than some big box retailers. It is easy to dog pile sometimes, but it sometimes even harder to give a man a fair shake.....I wanted Joe to know this feedback so I gave him a "fair shake" to defend himself & or correct what may be an issue in his store. That's all....

My experience was not like this at all. They were all friendly and Joe went out of his way to attempt to order some things for me which are not shipping currently. He has set up an Angler corner with some seats for people to sit and BS. I could see how this could go south, but I am pretty foul mouth myself. I hope for success with Joe's. His location is convenient for Lake Lewisville fishing, and since the bass house left, I think it can fill a void.
