This just might be the latest in the year I have actually sight fished. Found a bunch on beds as well as some that are trying to lock down today. Water was 75-77 in that area. I have felt the past week I was getting some bites that felt like bedding fish and they would be fat as can be. That was in areas with less visibility. Crazy weather this year for sure.

Good news is for the past week the shallow bite has been really strong. Especially mid day to evening.

Seems this past week about 99% of the boats are out deep. I fish shallow here year round. I just prefer it.

Same here but in April and early May I have to lay off some areas as they are just too crowded.

It's Fork.....there is zero chance I was the only one that found them to begin with. Especially with how crowded its been here for months now. There are no secrets spots out here anyways.

The funny thing is what the shallow fish are holding on right now for me gets overlooked by most. It just keeps getting stronger. Can be 1' deep in the heat of the day and they are steady biting. I really think the crowds pushed them to where I am getting bit. It seems to work from one end of the lake to the other and has been for over a week now.

Frog bite and topwater bite are really picking up now too.
