Original thread https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/ubbthreads.php/topics/13229128/1LOL so my wife seems to not be able to pass up anything remotely close to a good deal on Facebook marketplace. Last week she "won" some items from a lady "just over the bridge in Kingsland". When she came back from picking up the items she jokingly said, "I have a new best friend". The very next day same lady posts more "stuff" my wife had to have. I inquired and apparently they are selling their house so the lady is getting rid of all of her stuff. That triggered my memory of this thread and sure enough, it is the same family. I went with her to pick up the second round of "stuff" and the lady was as nice as she could be. No doubt it is the same house but isn't it crazy how someone who appears to be completely normal and nice can have such a reaction about someone fishing "their" water!!! And yes, the buoys are still up and no I did not ask about them. Hopefully they will close (they have a contract pending) on the house and the buoys will come down. Kind of irritating that the laws have not been enforced.

Sometimes people have a bad day and act irrationally. Sometimes people get fired up about one thing in their life, even though they’re in the wrong. I’m not surprised she was pleasant when you were taking stuff she was getting rid of.
Good news, though! Hopefully the next owner won’t be rude about sharing the water and they will remove buoys.

Been wondering about that thread. Thanks for the update. Yes ,laws need to be enforced,, we pay taxes for that, right?

I found that whole thread pretty strange. Verbal harassment aside, the buoys don't appear to be restricting anyones access to the water around the dock. I can think of at least one homeowner out there that has totally enclosed areas around their docks

Funny how this thread popped up again, as I was the one that started it....and funny thing how it was stated as nice as they could be....so about a Month Ago I was prefishing again and I idle by that area and a boat went to the left dock face the property....the guy starting walking towards the that dock...I stopped and watched to see what was going to transpire....he had a conversation with the angler for a few minutes and walked off....so I waited and then had a conversation with the angler to see what was said...the angler had is wife and kid with him as well....The angler said that he told him that there was some more brush under is dock and the docks next to him.
So yes what a change of events for sure....So may the LCRA ranger who went and had a visit with him actually worked...we may never know...but there was definitely a change in attitude. Kuddos to the homeowner for whatever reason....sometimes educating someone does work....
