I'm finding the females being a touch more attractive with them on. Not sure why...
I've noticed that too. Happy eyes Wonder what the females say. Where's a body bag when you need it? Doom and gloom. Always doom and gloom.

I know the virus is real but I truly believe that a certain group of people in this country took full advantage of this to ruin the economy so they could try to get Trump out of office. It’s pitiful what they will do to win a election.

Brand new pandemic hits the world for the first time in over 100 years. The virus is 1/5 of the way through it's life cycle with 350,000 dead people and untold trillions evaporated from the global economy.
Politicians from every side of the aisle from every government all over the world handled the situation sub-optimally.
Everybody thinks they could have handled it better. Zero of them plan to capitalize on their wisdom and step up to run for elected office.
That pretty well sums up this thread.
I don't envy anyone in a position of power right now trying to thread this needle. First time in 100 years? You might want to re-look at the virus introductions there. Mr. Obama had one while he was in office and it killed many, no world shutdowns with that one. Ebola was not 100 years ago, it killed many, no world shut downs. Swine flu, avian flu, sars, Ebola, Covid, what else was there.

Mr. Obama had one while he was in office and it killed many, no world shutdowns with that one. Ebola was not 100 years ago, it killed many, no world shut downs. Swine flu, avian flu, sars, Ebola, Covid, what else was there. I posted this in another thread. Fits here: Bird flu is influenza type A. There is a vaccine for that. Get the vaccine and your odds of getting it go down by 50%. If you do get it your odds of serious complications go down 80%. SARS was only contracted by 8 people in the US. Ebola didn't kill anyone in the US who contracted it here. (Only two cases here, both nurses and both recovered, one guy who was flown here died.) H1N1 killed 12,000 people in the US, but it was spread out over an 18 month period. MERS, I think there were 2 cases in the US. Zika, two reported deaths in the US. Anyway, that's why there wasn't an uproar over any of those diseases. The last time there was any serious uproar over a virus in the US was the Hong Kong Flu in 1968. Killed a 100,000 people, but it was so similar to regular flu they had a vaccine after 4 months. The time before was the Spanish flu, which killed 600,000. During the spanish flu by the way there were all kinds of lock downs all over the country. (Just to be clear, not suggesting we lock down. We should be open and should have been open a long time ago).

Because, as you can see, there are weak minded people that would say "Well, this is just the 'new normal' ", so No it is not normal to have to wear a face mask to go outside or in a public place in the USA. If you want to live in a country where masks are "normal" then move to china. I would hate to die knowing my children and grand children are forced to wear goofy masks every time they go out. Stop it. Stop with bending to the whims of some eco germaphobe wackjobs that want to control how you dress in public.

You know the mask thing is interesting. I don't understand the people that get upset by others that wear them. That seems to be a thing now.
The wife and I were at QT over the weekend. I was pumping gas and she went inside to grab a couple coffees. On her way back out the door, some girl on her way in started screaming at her, calling her names - the only two I can mention without a trip to the wall is communist and sheeple. All this because my wife was wearing a mask. My wife turned around and looked at her, at which point she (the fat idiot doing the yelling) said she was going to rip it off her face. If I wouldn't have quickly walked over there and intervened with some friendly advice, who knows how that would have gone.
Like I said, I don't understand it. People in this country have decided they want to fight about everything. If you think that’s bad, you should see what the mask wearers are doing and saying to the non-mask wearers. I fully expect to see actual pitchforks brought out in some of the videos of mobs screaming at people without a mask. (I do think the woman yelling at your wife was a bad person and I’m sorry y’all had to deal with that.)

Trump listened to Fauci early on. Not so much now thankfully. He had to or the Dems and the media would've crucified him. I think he wanted heard immunity from the start but had to wait for us to back him. Full steam ahead now, just be careful!!

Trump's clarity on reacting to the China Virus changed when his friend was admitted and died a few days later. You could see it emotionally impacted his decisions from that point forward and Dr. Doom took advantage of it.
