As we enjoy time with friends and family this Memorial day, please remember what the word memorial means. It's to honor the dead. Someone sacrificed their LIFE to provide us the opportunity to live in what I still think is the greatest country in the world. Most of those that gave their lives were under 25 years old. Imagine...your child...your 19 year old son or daughter killed in action serving our country to provide you and I with the freedom we all enjoy. Take a minute to continue to pray for our troops, our leaders, our citizens and to realize what we have, our freedom, was far from free. It was paid for by millions who loved their country enough to make the ultimate sacrifice. Think of the families of those kids who no longer have the chance to say they love them and celebrate the future that they would have had...marriage, children, fulfilling their dreams. It doesn't end with the one life. It impacts generations of those families. Was there another Einstein in that group? A Mother Teresa? A strong world leader? Maybe just a great mother or father who would have raised great kids? RIP to all our service men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice. Thank you to those who continue to do so.

Thanks to fivebites for pointing this out. I wish some folks would consider the sacrifices made by others and be less prone to give it all away.
