Point of manufacture varies by model on just about all brands. The lower price-points are almost always China.
Some of the higher price Lews are made in South Korea, and I understand that can actually be good as there is some history of good build quality there for reels.
Check the Lews website or retail websites for info on origin of particular models.

AFAIK, Lews are built in Korea. Daiwa, much like Shimano build their top line reels such as Steez and Chronarch and above in Japan. Shimano manufactures their lower models in Malaysia, not sure where Daiwa does their lower models.

I just got some new Tatulas. The 100 and 150 are made in Thailand.

Why what are you looking for? Most reel brands that are quality reels are made all over the place. Not about the quality but what China did to our country with this Covid cr@p

I understand totally.
They should have to pay for their lack of disclosure for so long. They knew it was a problem and said nothing for way too long.
