Texas is fine. I just like giving Texans a hard time.

I'm glad that I moved to Texas, but I must say Texans take state pride to a whole other level.

OP, If I'm flipping shallow cover and bank structure I'm typically using Fluoro or Pline CXX. When we went to Mexico last year I got schooled by a couple of big bass using Fluoro and switched to braid and was able to get them out of there, when we make that trip again this year its going to be 65lb Power Pro on a Broom Stick.

I feel like I get more bites on flouro unless I'm fishing really heavy vegetation, then I go with braid

Braid only. I honestly don’t think fish care. The only time I’ll flip with flourocarbon is if it is gin clear water.

This is one of the best articles I've read on braided line for flipping jigs written by one of the best in the Biz.
