Ok...so having been in quarantine for a while I started watching and recording various fishing shows. I stumbled across the MLF shows, and I have to admit that I really like the format.....I wound up doing more research to find that all of the big time pros left BASS to go to MLF. Now I know I am behind the times here as this happened last year, but I really like what they are doing and it is honestly a really fun format to watch. Frankly, I like it way better than the Bassmaster series now. Just curious what others on the forum think about it.

Oh no, here we go smile I like it as well, but also still enjoy BASS. I have a feeling I won't be the only one weighing in

not trying to start anything here...as a matter of fact, this is the first post I have made in years on this forum. I just thought it was really cool. Each has their merits and stuff, so hopefully this post wont turn negative. I was just curious what others thought.

I am a fan of the fast pace and the TV experience seems to be a little more all inclusive. I also like the live scoring updates. MLF also just announced the acquisition of FLW. That is going to be huge and I cant wait to see how that will effect the pro tour events.

Not comparing the different fishing circuits. I don't care for one over the other.

As far as a video format MLF is way more interesting to me TO WATCH ON TV. I'm quarantining also with the 'rona and had it set to record on the DVR (I have the Bassmaster set to record too). I've prolly watched 20-25 episodes in the last 3-4 weeks.

I'm waiting to see that idiot Mike Ike run off the back of the boat as he runs from the front deck to the back screaming "It's a giant" on a 1 lb 3 oz bass.

By far MLF keeps me very interested via the competition AND I learn from the show.

Funny on the Ike statement. I do think it is interesting that the minute he hooks a fish, he immediately runs to the back of the boat and has that goofy stance....I may try that next time to see if it helps. :-)

If you act like Ike on the water....and anyone sees you......someone may call it in, and the folks from the funny-farm will come to pick you up!

I like both formats, but I really like MLF for the way it translates to TV and the real-time pressure it puts on the anglers with live scoring updates. The new rules implemented for BPT helped also. Going up to a 2 pound minimum was smart.

Agreed. I think I learn more watching them adapt to the real time updates.

They just recently announced a 2 lb minimum rule.....that should change things for the better.
