You might consider Air-B-and-B or vacation rental by owner. My wife and I have one on PK and it is rented quite a bit by fisherman.

I'd be more worried about getting your stuff stolen at Longview hotels, so the location is far more important. Going to be hard to find a nicer hotel on the north end of town that would have something like that. Where you looking to stay and I'll give you a thumbs up or down.

There are several nicer hotels in North Longview near Lowes, Sams, and Longview Mall on East Loop 281 or North Hwy 259. Look on a map and you'll see the big name motels, but you'll just have to call to see if they have outlets out in the parking lot. I would stay away from all the hotels on the south side of town down around Interstate 20.

Look around Jefferson if you are fishing Pines.

If you are fishing Lake O the pines you might consider the cabins at Bullfrog Marina. Stayed there last summer. They are not fancy by any means but they are clean, have good beds, have electrical hookups, and even a kitchen and grill. LOP is a hard place to find good lodging. There are some real [censored] hole places to stay around that lake. I'm not real picky when it comes to hotel/motel accommodations, but there are some places around that lake that I wouldn't want my worst enemy to have to stay in.
