Gonna buy either a Diawa Fuego or a Diawa Tatula. I have a Fuego now, and like it a lot. Would you knowledgeable folk recommend the Tatula over the Fuego?

I have 3 of the Tatula SV's and love them. Never used a Fuego.

I have a Fuego baitcaster and for $100, IMHO it doesn't compare at all to the Shimano SLX. It just feels slightly "cheaper" to me than the Shimano in build quality. OTOH I have 4 Daiwa Fuego spinning reels and I like them a lot, even more than the Shimano Nasci, of which I also have a couple.
I'm sure the Tatula was a much better choice.

UPS just delivered the Tatula 20 minutes ago. I’ll put line on it and go to the pond in the morning. I’ll take the Fuego and do a comparison. That Fuego is pretty smooth, and I can chunk a bait a long ways, so if the Tatula is better I’ll sure say it. One thing I can say for sure about the Fuego is that backlashes are rare. I wish I could say that about a couple of other reels I have. I don’t need a ton of gear, but I want good user-friendly gear.
The guy that we went fishing with last week had 24 rod and reel sets in his boat. Amazing. Of course, he does it for money.
