I consider myself lucky in that I got all my trips in this week except today when we decided not to test the Weatherman! The White Bass bite is EXCELLENT on Richland Chambers as you can find early AM shoreline fish chasing Shad on many of the Main Lake Points. Watch for the Herons or Egrets lining the bank and tie on a Rat-L-Trap or Coho and you'll catch some of the bigger Whites of the day. After the Shoreline bite slows, I've been moving out to Pelican Island all week and finding MONSTER Schools of fish (See Graph Pic). An RSR Silver Slab and Jig Teaser will normally limit you out in less than an hour! The Hybrid Striper bite is best on Live Bait off the 309 Flats. Just look for the Guide Boats but don't go there without your Live Bait as you'll be embarrassed watching the Guides and their Customers pull them in while you're wearing yourself out with a 2 oz. Slab! I'm an Artificial Lure fisherman so I stay away from the Flats this time of year!
