A local super duper bass fisherman installed all the new Garmin gear, then took us to a private lake to set everything up and explain everything to us. Wow! We found schools of bass with the livescope, watched them take the bait. We caught maybe 10 very quickly. I was in screen learning mode, but the wife was reeling in bass. She caught her personal best, even though we didn’t weigh it. Spotlock held us in place with the bass right below us. All the bass were caught with a Crappie rod and bass plastics. Just drop the bait on their heads, set the hook and fight em. Setting the hook with a whippy crappie rod wasn’t perfect, but worked Ok. Can’t horse around a 4 pounder with 6 pound test line, but you sure can have fun with the fight.
With ‘da virus’ around, we spent money on fishing electronics instead of a cruise. I guess we spent about half a cruise on this gear. Ouch.
Bought everything from My Green Outdoors. Got plenty of guidance on what I needed and why. Only thing missing that we needed was a taller mount for the 93 unit at the console. One thing that Kevin suggested that was a terrific idea was to connect the front 106sv with the 93sv at the console, so you can get livescope at both places (if you want to). The guy showing us how to use everything liked that so much that he’s going to do the same.
I learned more about bass fishing from him in 2 hours than I would ever have dreamed. Amazing what that guy knows. He does some high dollar guiding for rich corporate folks.
Money well spent! Like some of you guys have said, this really is a game changer for our fishing. Going out on Tuesday. The Crappie had better hide.

I just had two 12 inch 122 Echomap Ultras installed on my boat along with Livescope. I have my two units networked together. What I like about Garmin right off the bat is they are a lot simpler to use than the Lowrance units. If I don't have any issues with future software updates like I always seem to have with my former units I will even be happier.

I have done a few updates on my 2 93sv plus and force, active capt. app makes it super simple and easy, no more download to card, upload to graph. all I would suggest is plan on a little while to do them, a couple have taken some time to complete. need to network mine.
