 At what age do you switch to the small cowboy hat?

I notice a lot of middle aged to older folks wearing the little cowboy hats that look shrunk down. Is this based on age or what. Even Randy Rogers is sporting one now and not sure he is even out of his 40s.....

They've gone "retro"
I'm good with it. Just don't want the dead chicken, on the brim Richard Petty hats to come back.
Just want to make folks smile, and spit coffee on their keyboard.
If you put beans in your chili, you don't know beans about chili.

I noticed it last time I was at the mule barn. It was all younger guys though that I noticed wearing them. I started counting them as they were all the same small tan felt cowboys hats.

i called em LBJ hats. never really cared for that old stetson style untill about 10 yrs ago. suddenly they looked good to me. i'm 70 now.. nostalgia thing i reckon.

Born and raised in Texas and never owned a cowboy hat. Always liked them and wanted one, but with a melon the size and shape of mine, I just stuck with a gimme hat.
