Crazy how far these things can cast without backlashing . However my buddy he is a nut job though fishes twice a day for maybe 100 days in a row . He burnt through 2 DCs in a month . Any of you guys having problems with them ? I want to order 4 more but scared to pull the trigger if they break .

Consider a Tatula SV TW .
Mechanical spool control vs the micro-processor on Curado
Advice? Wise men don't need it. Fools won't heed it.

Great reels love them for finesse type baits. I don’t like spinning reels so I use these to help control the light baits

Mechanical spool control vs the micro-processor on Curado +1 These are easier to set up than the DC, but to answer your question, no I haven't had any issues with my DC.

please explain what "burnt through" means? I have worked on a few of them and cleaned probably 100 of them only negative I can say is the pawl will start acting up if you don't keep it super clean. Only reel I have ever seen you get a little bit of dirt or grass it in and boom gotta replace the pawl lol one guy sent me a reel two weeks old after fishing a frog for a weekend in grass. Great casting reels though.

These are easier to set up than the DC, but to answer your question, no I haven't had any issues with my DC.
Did you have issues setting up your DC? I have heard of some, but never have inquired as to what those issues are. I was able to set mine pretty quick and I have not had any issues. I adjusted the spool until no side-to-side play, put the selector on #2 (I am using 15lb Big Game) and its been flawless since Dec. I want to order a few more, but if they are usually a PITA to setup, I might just buy the K.

The Curado's are easier to set up but none of them are "hard" to do.

only reel I've ever had issues setting up is the lews reels they are fine one cast and blow up the next. DC reels are effortless to setup put it on 4 and work your way down.

From what I have seen the DC works well with baits heavier than 3/8 in weight.
