Wanting to get up to Texoma soon and try my luck at the stripers, usually fish for largemouth. Any recommendations on lure choices? Haven’t been to that lake before so I’m not hoping for much the first time except trying to learn the lake a little bit.

Pending on when you arrive: early morning, shallow water use 7" top water plugs. 3-8 ft. Later, they move deeper, ledges structure- you can throw 4" chartreuse swim baits with a 2oz jig head. White may be productive too. Look for birds to assist.

Tight Lines!
God Bless

Like Dan said, Pencil Poppers at 1st light along the bank where shad are spawning. I have had luck throwing an Alabama rig in 10-15 ft, letting it sink and rolling it across the bottom. I had 4" sassy shad w/ 1/8 oz head on it but it is wearing me out. Thinking about dropping to a 3" and 1/16 oz jig head.

Fish Early or Fish Late in between tougher... Find the birds on shore.. SM mixed in with Stripers.. Moving baits below i.e. chatter, poping baits on top. hang on they got some juice in there step right now. Also, Fish Grabber investment a must, if your catching on top, lot's of trebles flying around.
