Ken- Great video! I'm def Guilty of carrying TOO MUCH STUFF... my Tracker does has very limited storage in the back but I will see what I can move stuff back there to help out some. Probably best to take half the soft plastics and 3700s OUT though!

One question- how much do you think the outcome changes based on having a Full vs empty livewell? 25+ gallons @8lbs per gallon would def add some weight.

Quite honestly ..... If I am going FISHING I could care less about speed and more about having the tackle I need in the boat and having it HANDY. I always loaded my boat to fish first. Speed came second.

OK Everybody, that's my boat that he keeps playing in. Yes, I definitely carry too much stuff, but for a Ranger, it runs pretty well. And there is also the convenience of sitting down and being able to get everything you need to re-rig a Carolina Rig in one place. I know it'd run better with some of the weight in the rear, but I don't want to have to go here to get a hook, there for a brush-hog, and there for a weight. I'm fishing. I can consistently see 70 mph, and a couple of August ago (yeah, in the heat of the summer?) I ran it up to 73.6. That's pretty humped up for a Ranger. I have video, and maybe RO 519 can help me post it. Z520's with Merc 2 stroke ProXS's aren't known for their hole-shot either. With all the weight in the back, they tend to wallow before they come on plane. A little weight in the front will help. I've got a 26 Trophy that Croxton worked, and it runs real well. I also have a 25 Fury that I had Croxton work that doesn't have quiet the top-end, but generally runs better. The real key is that I'm just simply carrying too much stuff. I may work on that but you never know when you may decide to throw that 1988 motor-oil Jawtec Chicken foot worm!

Always fun to fish with Ken - we have a good time.

and then you move the stuff to the rear and the trailer starts swaying going down the road.

Good video. I have way too much stuff up front but every time I try to sort it all out, it seems to just go back in there. I always thought with the batteries, gas and live well in the back, it balanced out with the weight up front. You learn something every day.

Never test the depth of the water with both feet.

I'm not a speed fisherman by any means, I feel perfectly okay running 40mph in my old Skeeter. But I did enjoy Ken's video a lot, he's good on camera with good info.

Great video Ken! cheers

My Ranger doesn't have much room in the back so most everything I carry is in front of the cockpit or under the seat. fish
