I’ve got some knicks and punch spots here and there and I’m not sure which ones are worthy of a professional’s touch and which are more suited for a do it yourself kit. Do you guys have kits you recommend and do you have any experience with repairs you’ve made yourself and how they came out? My boat is grey and black with no flake.

Might call Classic Fiberglass and ask Chris, he's very helpful.

Use marine tex, tape it off and apply, scrape flush with the painters tape. Once set for 48 hours you can wetsand the excess down. Evercoat gel coat repair also available but the catalyst is already added and if you don't get new product it won't harden like old silicone caulk. On solid black you could tint it fairly easily they sell gel coat repair tinting kits, gray would be hard to match.
