WATER LEVEL is 1,072.66 Sunday May 10, 2020 12:15 PM Level is 44.34 feet below full pool of 1,117.00 Dropped .04 from yesterday Water Temp mid 70s Boat ramps Diablo, Airforce, Box, and Rough, are open. Black Brush is closed. The bite continues to be good from one end of the lake to the other. The past 3 days I fished with Mike from DFW and he wanted to see Amistad so we ran 90% of the lake. We found the obvious clear water with lots of grass from the bank out to 8ft, stained water, muddy water, a fast flowing water fall, and had success from surface to 60ft. The 3 days consisted of no wind, 30 out of the North, sunny calm and hot, and yesterday morning it was cool enough for a jacket. The weather change didnt seem to bother the fish as we caught fish on almost every stop all 3 days. We caught a lot of largemouth ranging in size from dinks to 5 lbs (Tx rigs, dropshots, shallow cranking, topwater, jerkbaits, and chatterbaits), smallmouths up to 3lbs (dropshots), few whites / decent stripers (spoons), even a turtle (Thats 2 turtles in 2 weeks - both came on a Tx rig out deep ha). Friday we found a giant bed fish on a shallow bed. Mike caught the 4lb male and 5 minutes later had mama on but she got away and never returned. Easily a double digit. She made the 4lbr look small. If you saw the fight on video youd think he was fishn for big reds. My guess is that fish hasnt stopped running yet. Twas fun... Had to get out of the wind to take a few pics below... If youre interested in a trip please call or text (830) 768-3648. The Lake level is still dropping but overall the fish are continuing to bite. Yesterday morning we had a few light showers and the bite started slower than previous days but after the rain the sun came out and in the same area we caught several. After lunch we had a blast catching schooling fish some were 2 at a time... Several tournaments coming up in June. Hooter McGruder, (2) Border Anglers, (2) BassChamps, and a few club tournaments. www.amistadbass.com www.amistadbass.com

Why are they continuing to empty the lake? It’s caught a ton of water from All the storms but continues to be dropped!

IWBC has control of the water, per the treaty US has 56.2% of the water rights and MX has 43.8%. IWBC has slowed the release to 50 CMS (US) and 3.5 CMS (MX). We haven't caught much rain but there is water some coming in.
