roflmao Check out the foot gear thumb

Got back into town Sunday, it was a short trip with the main purpose of picking up my new to me, kayak. Couldn't wait until this fall when I was planning on going as I was fearful things would get worse and I'd have to delay my plans again. I'm still beat from the driving but will post some pics.

A good rule of angling philosophy is not to interfere with another fisherman's ways of being happy, unless you want to be hated.

I figured you "couldn't" wait until the fall. LOL!

I would have done the same thing. That kayak is too sexy to wait until fall!

You got that right! Was fearful my bud might catch the virus and die before I could pick it up. He was wearing a mask in his own back yard when I got there. roflmao It was a real eye opening experience to see how seriously some areas of the country are on lockdown. You couldn't go into "any" convenience store without a mask... and each store owner enforced it as I had forgotten to put mine own several times and had to go back to car and get it. Lines were at least half an hour to eat at any of the fast food joints. Didn't get a pic of homeless guy sleeping on the sidewalk with his mask on.

I didn't catch any big fish but the variety was as good as it ever was. First day caught small tarpon, snook, redfish, goliath grouper, and jacks. Wind picked up after lunch and I stayed in protected waters away from where I would normally fish. With bait I could have caught a dozen shark as they were in all their usual places. Only fished a few hours the second day as I was beat after drive there and it was supposed to be windy. Caught grouper, snook, reds, jacks, and sailcats that afternoon. Never made it to the area I normally fish for trout and big tarpon as it got windy. Left the water early as the wind laid down and the mosquitoes came out in force.

Everything caught on spinner bait and soft plastics blind casting.
