It sounds like things are getting desperate and more revealing every day in the MLFLW camp. Word going around is this idea got voted down 2x by anglers but corporate leadership proceeded forward irrespective of how the majority of voting BPT anglers felt. It seems that some industry insiders have been told the MLF management have used coercion tactics towards the BPT angers and they were told in no uncertain terms they are expected to pay the entry fees and be present at the newly announced FLW Pro Series “ Super Tournaments” where they will fish in the traditional 5 fish limit format.

The whole premise and highly promoted need for MLF and BPT in the industry has been the “format” that is conservation friendly and the “no entry fees” for the anglers whom qualified based on them having the “best in the world” resumes. They are now being coerced by their masters to not only fish tournaments that are completely in contradiction to their “best format“ narrative, but also pay to do so, which is the primary reason why they were motivated to strike out on their own and form the MLF BPT. If that’s not ironic enough, they are competing directly against the AAA team and diluting their chances at winning a tournament in their circuit. Eye, yeye, yeye... and they wonder why they get such a bad name and publicity.

They were given an option to fish. Since a few events got canceled it allowed the opportunity for them to win more money & promote their own sponsors.

Is that why purportedly, the majority of voting anglers voted this idea down, not once, but 2x? How about fishing against the AAA team and at same time diluting the tournament winning opportunity to those FLW anglers who haven’t already pulled the plug and got refunds... which I am hearing has been significant in amount.

The way it’s coming out from inside the BPT, as they have been coerced into participating is just being made up? If those 80 anglers were happy, why would some of them make up stuff like that?

Have you found something untrue? Or is trolling defined as someone posting things that are true, but just don’t show the protected ones in the most favorable light? Kinda like the KVD post that got entirely removed back when the Bassmasters classic was wrapping up? You know the one, the one that questioned why KVD wasn’t the one representing the decade he dominated in the elite series. The truth came out about that too... but that was trolling, right?

I wish you folks who want to protect MLF or prohibit anything that reflects badly on them would focus your efforts on getting them to think about what they do that brings so much criticism. I mean, so much of it is shoot themselves in the foot, dictatorial types of things. Focus your efforts on that and succeed and you won’t have to worry about people seeing all the contradictions and pointing them out.

Again, the article you posted a link to states nothing about being coerced. Come out and post your real name. You are worse than the Democrats and their Russian collusion.

I talk about it because it’s interesting to see how many people will come out of the shadows and defend or excuse make for a group of shysters. It’s kind of funny to observe the lengths they will go to defend the indefensible.

Of course an article written by and for publication on a MLF controlled website isn’t going to come out and say anyone was coerced. For that information you have to look to those who work within the industry itself. Alternatively, you can listen to B. Duckett; he will always give it to you straight. Am I right or what?
