Not real sure why Media hasn't gone the way of Bud light trail, they have drawn low #'s for years. Theres a couple local businesses I could never figure how they stayed open as they got little to no business and had very poor customer service, one was aquarium fish store, the other was an archery shop and they both turned out to be money laundering operations.

They have several divisions that draw 40 to 60 boats an event.
That is way above what bud light ever drew. I think they do a pretty good job as a regional trail.
As far as taking to long I have experience this. Usually it is a lot of early morning entries showing up. In my opinion those guys should have to wait to pay up when it becomes time for the tournament to start and the TD can come back to them after he gets everyone that prepaid or showed up plenty early and are on the water. Also have experienced TDS waiting for everyone to get on the water and O also say tough chore to that show up earlier. A lot of guys show up about 15 or 20 minutes before an event to launch.
That all said in the past few years we’ve been pretty lucky out here in the west. We had Tommy then Jason and they do a dang good job.

Media has always had a rather late take off. You just have to plan your fishing accordingly

Safe light is determined by the tournament director, the guy who everyone wants to sue when something bad happens. All the real trails tend to wait... just be glad you weren’t fishing a number draw tournament and ended up boat 300. Lol.

The comment about making morning of entries wait is the most comical thing on this thread. If you make $20+ per boat plus membership fees there should be an additional staff member signing people up while the TD launches boats. We’re not talking about an open that joe blow is running off his tailgate. The Media events around the Metroplex are all this way, TD will be down at the dock checking livewells and calling boat numbers while one of his staff members signs up day of entrants. We may be a little spoiled around here though, our TD is freaking AWESOME!!

Saturday and Sunday we were fishing the Shad spawn till about 8am or so... if your only getting 20-30 min your spot oriented not Shad spawn oriented.

This is my 13th year fishing Media Fork so I guess for me it must not be too bad. +1 on Tommy he's the best TD. Gordon is just hard headed and he will never change there is a bunch I don't agree with him on and it was painfully slow this past Saturday. I love fishing Media's championship series and that is the main reason I stick around
