Haven't fished with the new Expert series, but the Falcon Amistad is great. It's 7'3" which is great for shorter guys like myself. If you're taller, lots of guys use a 7'6" or longer. I'll let them comment on those

seems to be a lot of falcon recommendations. Only have one christie rod for top water so may need to increase the falcon arsenal a bit

I have a Daiwa Kage Flipping 7’6” that is great. It was around $200ish....I think. [Linked Image]

It is light, and has double footed guides over half way down the rod. This is important for fishing heavy cover and braid.

There are a lot of good rods on the market for "flipping". If you are actually going to "flip" a bait I would go with a 7ft 5inch or 7ft 6inch rod. I don't flip but I pitch quite a bit and use a 7ft, rod to 7ft 6inch rods.

I use Dobyns, Kistler, Daiwa, and Power Tackle rods for pitching.

I use a G.Loomis JWR 854 NRX. Rod is designed specifically for fishing 1/2 oz jigs. Have the same rod in IMX also. I prefer the NRX when fishing deeper, such as dragging a football jig. The sensitivity is amazing.
