So it seems this is a pretty common problem with Dodge Rams and this is the second time in 40k miles. The first time a broken bolt couldn't be removed, even after taking the head to a machine shop, requiring me to replace the entire head because of one broken bolt. I am replacing broken exhuast bolts and gasket again and hopefully I can remove the broken bolt this time (fingers crossed).
From what I understand the problem lies with the OEM exhuast header. So I am think about replacing the headers with a aftermarket one like shorty's. My question is has anyone else done this in an attempt to permanently fix this problem and of so, has it worked?
