Lol, it was 20 years ago, but it still pizzes me off. It was an old Triton, and several of the employees from the local Triton dealership were fishing the same tournament. They were kind enough to round me up a loaner.

Happened to me at lake worth hit side of trailer scrapped down spare tire hit tire fender and pushed into tire. Did not notice till got home luckily tire didn’t blow had groove cut into tire. No note nothing from pos. Cost me new fender and new tire. No way they didn’t know did this. Only Hope messed up there vehicle

I get where you are coming from, but in all honesty what is that going to do for you? First off, how are you going to find them? Unless I am mistaken there is no public database where you can plug in their license plate and find their name or address. And if you are LEO, there is not enough probable cause there to make it legal to look up. The fact that they were once parked beside you does not prove that they did any damage.

Not all people are like this. Last Sunday came back to the ramp and a boat trailer had hit my bumper. Left paint on my bumper and minor damage, the guy left a note with his name and phone number. I have 2008 2500 with a few whiskey dents that just add character to the truck. I called the guy up and he was very apologetic. I told him since he left a note not to worry and no claim would be filed. What was also cool was the fact he had already notified his insurance and they called me Monday morning. Long story short no claimed filed, just appreciated the follow through by all parties.

Not a bad idea but how could you prove it was them, paint color I guess? When I go to the lake I am very rarely there all day which means someone else could be parking in the spot I was in and you wouldn’t know it.

I've had my trailer bashed more than once in 30 years. Just take a quick pic and you have a starting point at the very least. Takes 3 seconds.
