It don’t work good shallow, less than 10 feet. Do you have to change some setting for shallow?

If you will change the angle of the transducer so that it will shoot more in front of the boat, you can use it in shallower water.

Garmin has a new add on that addresses this. I don't know if it is officially released yet. I think It is a bracket that repositions the transducer and requires a software update.

I use it in about 8 or more feet. I have not installed perspective view yet as there are so many issues with it now. I figure by next year at spawn they will have it ready to use! ha ha

I fish both fresh and saltwater; and find it's not useful below 4'. I installed Perspective mode and it is not impressive to me in fresh or salt water. That's just me.

One 10-pounder is better than ten 1-pounders; but 100 1-pounders is ok too!

I leave mine on forward pretty much all the time and it is fine bass fishing in 6-7 feet of water.

If you are speaking on Perspective Mode, it is released. I have yet to get it on the water since getting my bracket in last week, been so windy.
