I'll post this here because if your like me when you go crappie fishing it's either for 1/2 day or all day.
I bought an orthopedic boat seat from Tempress on their website and they shipped it to me for free, it was $216.00 total.
When I mounted it to the seat pedestal and fished out of it the 1st time, it was comfortable but leaned back too far and didn't really support your lower back when fishing.
I went to the local hardware store and bought some flat washers (5 for each side, a couple of longer screws) and added them to the back screws, between the metal base and seat to make the back closer to 90%.
Fished for 6 hours yesterday in pretty good wind and boat waves. When I came in my back had no fatigue at all.
Woke up this morning and realized that my back was feeling Great.

I should rig something like this on my seat. I always feel like I'm leaned back to far.

My Dad has tried just about every seat out there. He has back problems from all the G's he used to pull in fighter jets. Finally broke down and bought one of these. https://www.pontoonstuff.com/produc...AYSaLJzUE0CKri8JDeWXyNzWmYBoC2KEQAvD_BwEIt was one of the best things we ever did. Can't recommend it enough. We have it mounted up from on our 18 Foot G3. We get comments about it while out on the water just about every trip. If you are having back issues it might be worth a try. It's mounted on a Pedastal. It Reclines and has nice arm rests. Just trying to help.

That's what I'm talking about!
May as well be as comfortable as you can be while your out there!
All the money spent on trolling motors and depth finders, stop to consider what would make it better for you with all the hours you spend on the water.
I've had boat seats with arm rests in the past and they really made the day go by better, they are out of fashion right now, but with the width of boats today could make a comeback.
